Scripty Privacy Policy

Scripty is an app that helps transcribe handwritten historical documents.
What we collect
- Photos or images you upload or take within the app, for the purpose of transcribing handwriting.
- The text, titles, and tags you save after transcribing a document.
How it’s used
- Images are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API solely to generate a transcription, historical context, and suggested tags. Images are not stored by us after transcription.
- Saved documents (title, transcription, tags) are stored locally on your device only. We do not have a server-side database and cannot see or access this data.
Sharing
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Images sent for transcription are processed by Anthropic per their own privacy policy.
Your control
Since documents are stored only on your device, deleting the app removes all saved data. There is currently no cloud backup or account system.
